About us
Leader International Corporation is the parent company of Leader Manufacturing, Inc., its manufacturing subsidiary, and HFS, Inc., a finance subsidiary. Since 1981 Leader has enjoyed manufacturing success in a variety of markets with emphasis on high-end product design and fabrication, and a sales model that focuses on direct selling its products to the end customer.
Leader Manufacturing is involved in new product design, steel fabrication & manufacturing and distribution of third-party products through three divisions: FairWeather Site Furnishings, LED Accent Lighting & Cara Designs. These products include:
- Commercial and institutional indoor & outdoor site furniture and amenities
- Decorative castings (such as trench and tree grates, manhole covers, etc.)
- LED outdoor accent lighting (lighted bollards, pathway lights, marine power pedestals, etc.)
- Retail fixtures and displays (point-of-purchase lobby and counter-top displays, mirrors, etc.)
Leader is known worldwide for its high quality, cost effective and highly
efficient products. The company develops products to meet the
demands in two separate and distinct "niche" markets. From
corporate, government, architectural and construction demand for
commercial & institutional site furnishings to retail store
demand for fixtures and displays, Leader provides quality products to
these markets.
FairWeather Site Furnishings & LED Accent Lighting
Leader purchased FairWeather
Site Furnishings, the commercial and institutional site furniture division, in August
of 1999. This division has seen explosive growth throughout its more
than 25-year history. Since Leader purchased FairWeather, its sales
have grown six-fold. The FairWeather division produces commercial
quality benches, trash receptacles, ash urns, planters, picnic
tables, bike racks, bollards and dozens of other sitescape products.
FairWeather also has an exclusive distribution contract with Olympic
Foundry, Inc. to distribute their tree and trench grates, tree
guards, manhole covers and other decorative castings.
Recently, the company invented a new line of LED lighted products and has filed for U.S.
and Canadian design and utility patents on dozens of products. These unique and
inventive new products should fuel substantial growth for the company until the end of
the decade. These products will be sold exclusively through the FairWeather Site Furnishings division.
Cara Designs
Leader's other division was started in-house in 1997 under the brand name
Cara Designs.
An opportunity was presented to the company to design and produce a
unique lobby stand for one of the world's largest jewelry chain
stores, Kay Jewelers. From this first venture into retail fixtures
and displays, the company has added counter-top displays, counter-top
mirrors, accessory displays and a full line of hospitality and
restaurant displays. Cara's customers represent some of the most
respected names in corporate America: Aramark and Hubert in the food
service business; Sterling, Inc. (Jared, Kay, Friedlander), Tiffany & Co., Ben Bridge and Ultra to name a few in
the jewelry industry; DOC and Pearle Vision in the optical/eyeglass business and many others.
Our capabilities
The company's manufacturing capability is very unique. Through its
self-contained laser cutting equipment, wood, welding, fabrication,
tooling, and machine shops; its CAD equipped engineering department;
and its electrical and assembly departments, the company has the
capacity to expand its operations into the manufacturing of custom,
consumer and specialty products. To diversify the company's product
base and expand sales, Leader is expanding product manufacturing
beyond its current divisions to take advantage of its unique
production capabilities.
